Frequently Asked Questions

Q- Why should I see a Chiropractor?

A- Chiropractic care is an excellent way to aid in overall total body wellness. From common ailments like neck and back pain to complex issues like fibromyalgia and diabetes, chiropractic care can help relieve your condition.

Q- Is chiropractic care effective?

A- Chiropractic works by removing structural imbalances within the body. For your body to perform at its best, your nervous system must be able to send messages from the brain, down your spinal cord, to your nerves without interference.

When your body is out of alignment, the signals are interrupted, resulting in a wide range of ailments. Chiropractic adjustments restore spinal functions, which directly optimizes nervous system functionality, allowing improved health and wellness.

Q- What is an adjustment? Does it hurt?

A- Adjustments are sometimes done to realign vertebrae that have moved out of place. Whether you’ve been involved in an accident, fall or simply normal daily activity, realignment helps your body perform at its peak by allowing the flow of nerves to travel down your spinal cord without interruption.

An adjustment is done with a quick movement of pressure, either by hand or using instruments, to move a vertebrae back into place.

Patients often describe an immediate relief and it is often done without discomfort. You may hear a popping sound like you are cracking your knuckles, which is simply the release of oxygen and nitrogen from within the joint.

Q- Are adjustments safe?

A- Yes. When comparing prescription drugs or surgery, adjustments are remarkably safe. If during the exam, Dr. Anne identifies that chiropractic care is not for you, she will most definitely let you know.
